Floor Cleaning issues

Whether looking for a hardwood floor vacuum, or carpet cleaning solutions in general, consumers have to carefully consider the products that are available to them for both of these cleaning issues. Hardwood floors can add elegance to any home but need regular cleaning to keep their luster. Dirt and dust can accumulate fast, and if there are pets in the home, pet hair tends to accumulate in corners as well. A hardwood floor vacuum usually has two settings, dry and wet mode. Dry mode is used for just general dust and dirty clean up, when heaving cleaning is not needed. Wet mode is for a more serious cleaning which will require a special liquid cleaner to put into the attached canister on the vacuum. This liquid will spray out and buff the floor and also vacuum up any liquid, leaving the floor dry and shiny.

There are several carpet cleaning solutions out there that are inexpensive and effective. Many cleaning spays are available for small carpet stains. Simply spray the spot on the carpet, let it sit as long as directed on the instructions, and dab clean with a towel. For carpets that are dirty in a large area, such as an entire living room, steam cleaning may be the best option. While expensive to purchase, many stores have these available for rental for inexpensive prices. Before steam cleaning carpet, make sure it is vacuumed and free of any particles on the floor. A carpet cleaner and water will be put into a container attached to the steam cleaner, and while in use, the cleaner will spray out this cleaner while a brush is turning, and the vacuum portion of the cleaner will pick up loose dirt and debris.

Whether using a hard floor vacuum, or looking for carpet cleaning solutions, products available at hardware and home improvement stores are endless and offer many options.
