Assistance With Emigrating To Australia

We’ll be focusing on Australian migration agents in this installment of emigrating to Australia guide…

Migration agents are professionals who are experienced in helping people obtain visas for emigrating overseas. You don’t need to use one to apply for an Australian visa, however, using one for your migration can significantly quicken the process and, in some cases, even save you money as you can be certain that your application will be submitted correctly the first time.

If you opt to use an agent, be sure to only use one that is registered with the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) and also make sure you get a full account of all the costs involved before starting the application process.

Try starting off with one of the free eligibility tests that many migration agents offer on their websites, which take less than 10 minutes to complete. They’re only meant to be preliminary review of your eligibility, and the result of them shouldn’t be taken as 100% accurate, though they are based on the DIAC’s official immigration criteria.

If you seem to be eligible, an agent will then contact you to discuss your application and will advise you on what type of visa you require for your circumstances. This is both a complex and crucial step as there are numerous types of visas available and applying for the wrong one will result in your application being rejected and the whole process having to be started again. Having decided on the right type of visa, they’ll then collect, examine, assess, and process all of the information and documentation necessary for your application.

They’ll work in consultation with you right up to the lodging of your immigration application with the DIAC (and for any appeal that may be required) and at each step of the process will advise you of any factors that may increase the prospect of a successful application.
